I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.We sure did. There was plenty of time spent with family, good food, and thoughtful gifts. My heart and belly are both very full.
And now we are enjoying the best part :: after. After the festivities and after the mad rush. After is the part I enjoy most. We had a gloriously long weekend to just be together with nowhere to go and nothing to do but play with the new Christmas toys.
Carlee received a new pair of roller skates. Although she has never skated in a real pair of skates, she didn't let that deter her. She insisted on wearing those skates all week and endured many falls and bruises. Oh my, the persistence in this girl! She now glides around the house like a pro.
For Sarah, my artist, there were many craft projects and art supplies. Nothing makes her happier than painting and drawing all day long. Truly a girl after my own heart.
And for my gamer/ classic rock lover, a gift that he never expected. Jake loves all electronic gadgets, but this one was at the top of his list. He was crazy excited to get this and it barely left his hands.
I received the best gift of all :: watching, relishing, and partaking in another wonderful holiday.
